I didn't say 'bluebird' at all in this episode, but that's what it's gonna be.

Yesterday was a glimpse of spring on the mountain and today is going to be much the same. If you’re picking your days this weekend, today is the one. Let me tell you why today will be awesome.
Firstly, it’ll be a sunny day across the NSW resorts. I’m looking at the snow cams at the moment, not a cloud in the sky.
Secondly, there will be little to no wind. I pay a lot of attention to the wind, as it affects my snow days the most in Australia. Windchill and windhold, my two most feared words.
Anyway, thirdly, pretty much all the lifts will be open as the snow base is still fantastic.
Fourthly, as I speak, it’s well below zero, so the snow will have firmed up overnight, softening as the temps rise through the day.
Up top at Thredbo, we’re looking at a max of 5 degrees, down in Perisher valley a max of 7, and Charlotte pass will get up to 6 degrees.
The RMS is stating that chains are currently required from the guthega turn off to its village, presumably because of ice, so be careful. As for the roads to Perisher and Thredbo , I’m honestly not sure. I’m yet to figure out if no news is good news from the RMS, as there’s been no update since yesterday. So, anyway, carry those chains with you. Maybe there’s ice on the roads with the low temps, or maybe you’ll have a nice, beautiful drive up to the hill without having to get out of your warm car.
Taking a quick look at tomorrow, there’s a chance of rain, perhaps snow, but just a sprinkling. Things ramp up on Monday though - with a lot more rain, or maybe snow, forecast.
So a reminder, today is the day to head to the snow!
