Cold conditions continue, and we've had an update to the snow depth chart.
Transcript
Despite yesterday’s predictions, it hasn’t snowed since I last spoke to you, and I’m sorry about that… but it has remained cold, which is good for the snow base. Today there might be a centimeter or two of snow across the NSW resorts in the morning, and it will be cloudy with moderate to strong winds. The chance of snow will lessen in the arvo, the winds will change direction and perhaps ease off a smidge. In Charlotte Pass there’s a predicted top temperature of 2 degrees, Perisher Valley 3 degrees, and Thredbo Top Station 1 degree.
The road conditions haven’t been updated by RMS yet, which is a little unusual. However, with no fresh snowfall, it’s unlikely that you will need to put chains on to get up to the resorts. But it has been below zero overnight, so please be careful and watch out for icy patches.
Looking ahead, It’s going to warm up over the next couple of days before it might snow again early next week. However, don’t wait for that, because who really knows what the weather is going to do?! It’s the time of year where I’m gonna take it one day at a time, and enjoy it while it’s here. I hope you do too.
If you haven’t already, please subscribe to this podcast for early and daily snow condition update. Thanks for listening, I’m Anthony Garvin and this is Daily Snow.
