It has been a marvelous snow season this year, with more snow than the last 5 years or so. The latter months have been particularly good, with a couple of massive storms rolling in across August and early September. It’s been busier than ever on the hills and around the towns - and whilst that might be a slight bother for some, I’m sure it’s helped local businesses rebound since last year’s COVID problems.
d better Daily Snow series in:And now we have one last report for the year. It’s been cold overnight, particularly at Persisher, and it’s looking beautifully clear this morning. It’s gonna be Sunny today with winds gusting only up to a fresh breeze at times. Perisher Valley will reach a balmy 10 degrees while Thredbo Top station will hit 7. I didn’t realize, but Charlotte Pass’s last operational day was yesterday, so please don’t head there for a ski today. If you’re still there, expect it to hit 9 degrees by the arvo. As far as the runs and lifts go - At Thredbo, the higher areas are still looking good, and at perisher you can take your pick from front valley right across to mount perisher.
There are no issues with the roads, but you still have to carry chains with you for the moment.
