It's the beginning of the last week of the Aussie 2022 Snow Season.

I’ve been cruising the snow cams this morning and even though I do it every day, it’s still surprising to see how much snow there is for late September. Plus, there’s more snow in the forecast over the next week or so! I’m not going to make any statements now as to when or how much, but I will definitely update you on snowfall day by day.
I’m also going to get a bit of backcountry skiing in over the next few weeks, as there should be at least another month of decent snow for this after the resorts close. Anyway, it’s a partly cloudy / partly sunny morning at the resorts right now, and looks like to be like this for at least the rest of the morning. Rain is predicted later in the arvo or evening - though I can’t make any promises it won’t start earlier, as it has been a little more unpredictable of late! Oddly, it’s cooler right now down in Perisher Valley at 1 degree, than it is up at Thredbo Top station at 4 degrees, however that will even out over the next few hours. Up top at thredbo it should hit a max of around 5, though maybe a bit higher if it’s already at 4 degrees. Perisher Valley will max out at 8 , and Charlotte Pass also 8 degrees. It will get up to a Fresh Breeze in the higher areas, and barely be noticeable down lower.
Being the last week of the season, I expect that many of the lifts will be winding down over the next few days, starting from today. However, yesterday there was still 29 lifts at Perisher open, 8 at Thredbo and all at Charlotte Pass so there still should be plenty to choose from even as they start to close. And if you are driving up, there’s no issues with the roads.
