Rain overnight , perhaps a bit more today.
Transcript
Today’s shout out goes to me! Well, one of my other podcasts. It's called ‘The Quiet’ and each episode is an immersive audio recording of Australia’s wilderness. Put headphones on and be surrounded by the sounds of nature for an hour or so each episode. Season 1 can be found by searching ‘The Quiet’ in your favorite player, and Season 2 will begin sometime after the snow season ends….
Well, yesterday arvo i checked in on the conditions, and was pleasantly surprised to see some blue sky around Perisher and Thredbo. Unfortunately though, it’s been raining quite a bit overnight - though it has been hovering around zero, so it may well be a bit of snow in the higher altitudes.
For the moment, the rain has stopped, but across the day there’s a few more mm predicted. Some reports are saying there will be snow in the higher altitudes - and we have temps hovering around zero degrees currently - but i think it’s unlikely TBH. Because up top at Thredbo, we’re looking at temps rising from now up to 5 degrees, Perisher Valley 7 and Charlotte Pass also 7. The winds shouldn’t be too much of a bother, reaching a moderate breeze up higher, and much less down lower.
You should be fine on the roads, but take chains with you as always.
I’m gonna keep it short today as I'm about to head out hiking between Eucuembene and Guthega. As a result, it’s extremely unlikely i’ll have an update for you tomorrow as I’ll still be out in the wild. So until Monday, I’m Anthony Garvin, it’s Saturday September 24 and this has been Daily Snow.
